It is White WIne in the sun. But I have deleted it from my ipod this year because it makes me so so so sad when I listen to it.It's by TIm Minchin.
My recent post The Big Giving Giveaway
You probably won't believe this but it is 'The Little Drummer Boy' by Jimmy Barnes' children when they performed years ago as 'The Tin Lids'! It is a hit with whoever hears it!
My daughter would be devastated if I didn't try and win this for her!!! Yes she's young and hardly knows who One Direction are, but still...
So my favourite Xmas carol is the Little Drummer Boy by Hank Williams Jnr, my dad had this record, yes record, and we used to trash it as kids, and when it was finished we used to run to get dad to flip over the vinyl because we weren't allowed to touch it. If you haven't heard or watched it, please do Trish, it makes me cry whenever I hear it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yOvUOxvSbk
It's from the album, Christmas Country, an oldie but a goodie!
(and it's a coincidence that this is the name of your blog, in fact, why did you call it Little Drummer Boys? was it because of this song in some way, sorry for my ignorance xxx

I grew up listening to WHITE CHRISTMAS sung by Bing Crosby. Talk about smooth tones. Just listening to it brings back so many wonderful memories. Christmas is a time of traditions & memories.
I love Silent Night when my daughter sings it. It's her favourite carol which I didn't expect, I thought she would like something faster and more fun. When she sings it, it sounds like Christmas to me!

My favourite is Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley.
My mum is a huge Elvis fan, and every year when I was growing up, she would put his record on and we would decorate our tree. Every time I hear it, I am taken back to my childhood.
We LOVE Jingle Bells by Michael Bublé. We love the whole Christmas album but this one would be our favourite

There's nothing more festive this time of year listening to and humming away to the Christmas Carols playing in the shops. I admit I have a soft spot for 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'. When going to bed we sing this carol and have made up little hand signals to go along with it. The funniest version is Miss 3's. Innocently mixing up her words she sings' Rudolph the Red Toed Grain-beer'... 'and if you ever saw him, you would even say it "BLOWS".... and then one "SOGGY" Christmas "TREE" Santa came to "STAY". Singing it with such enthusiasm she ends the song with as must gusto as a 3 year old can muster.
All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey - a great tune is a bonus but its the underlying message that having our family and friends near us during the festive season that makes this song my favourite!
'Fairytale of New York’ by The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. It gives me shivers & I could literally cry the first time I hear it every year.
Silent Night by Amy Grant I think is beautiful.
The war is over song , it reminds me how lucky I am

Jingle Bells Rock by Bobby Helms. Love its delightful melody which makes me happy and feel like dancing. Every time I listen to it, I feel that Christmas is around the corner and Santa is on the way to my home.
Little Drummer Boy by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band
Santa Claus Is Coming to Town by Alvin & the Chipmunks
'All I Want for Christmas is You' by Mariah Carey. A love hate relationship really. The first time I hear this song at the shops I feel that Christmas is coming and get tingles. By December 24th when I hear it I want to scream!
I heard 'All I want for Christmas' today sung by an amateur choir in the work foyer. It was horrid. Not enough coffee in the world. Give me a bit of WHAM with 'Last Christmas' any day!
